Zach Hottel
Shenandoah County Library- Truban Archives Archivist
Woodstock, VA
I'm an Archivist working to preserve local history, enhance communities, and share our stories.
Since 2015 I have been with the Shenandoah County Library. There I work to manage collections and to bring those collections into the lives of our residents and visitors. The stories we preserve are personal to me and deserve to be recognized for their important part in our collective narrative.
I am interested in talking about local history work, archival best practices, digital preservation, out reach, and reaching underserved communities. As a lone arranger, I especially enjoy opportunities to network with others who serve in sites with small staff and limited resources.
Currently I am the Virginia Caucus Representative for MARAC, so I love to share the great work my colleagues are doing in the Commonwealth!
